SOLD! 1957 Jaguar XKSS Continuation

Pole Position Classics is excited to announce the sale of this piece of history! Also known as “The first Supercar” the Jaguar XKSS.

Making its debut in 1954 the Jaguar D-Type would become a three time Le-Mans winner before new regulations would put them in retirement leaving them with 25 unsold cars.
That’s when Sir William’s, Mr. Jaguar himself decides to make 25 road going versions of the D-type and so the XKSS is born.

On a Tuesday evening in 1957 disaster broke! The browns lane Jaguar factory catches fire burning 9 of the 25 cars in mid production.

59 years later Jaguar Classic decides to recreate those nine cars that never made it out of the production line. Its name? The “XKSS Continuation”. Jaguar Classic’s team hand built these nine cars to the highest quality using all of their original numbers for their body, engine, & transmission and the result is an exact recreation of the iconic XKSS.

Back in 1961 Jaguar launched what Enzo Ferrari called the most beautiful car in the world, The Jaguar E-Type. 60 years later in 2021, Jaguar released this special edition called “Heritage 60” to celebrate sixty years of the E-Type. With a limited production of just sixty cars worldwide & most of them being coupes, makes this the rarest and most collectible F-Type.

These “Heritage 60” got a special paint job known as Sherwood Green and were also paired with a Bespoke Interior.

Never registered & still under MSO, making the purchaser the first owner.
Jaguar has officially ended production of the F-Type in 2024 and plan on going full electric, truly making this car a collector grade F-Type

This example left Germany in 1953 and made its way to Venezuela where it spent 61 years of its life before being shipped back to its home town in Germany where she would have a 2 year restoration by the artisans at Hauben Auf.
